St. John the Baptist Parish offers high-quality, well regarded educational programs and institutions that provide the business community with a highly-educated workforce. In three short years, we have elevated our status as a school system to a “B” rating in the latest Louisiana Department of Education rankings. With 81% of our students classified as economically disadvantaged, we have set and held students and our employees to high standards. We are the only system that has earned a “B” rating with at least 81% of its students categorized as such.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is a concentration that St. John has embedded into curriculum from pre-K through grade 12 classrooms.

St. Charles Catholic High SchoolSt. Charles Catholic believes that our primary concern is the Catholic education of our students.  In our service to the young men and women of the River Parishes, we are attempting to provide an atmosphere which stresses Catholic values while challenging students to become self-disciplined, self-motivated, and well-adjusted individuals.

St. Joan of Arc Catholic School ​St. Joan of Arc builds on the core elementary curriculum of the State of Louisiana, Common Core State Standards, and the Archdiocese of New Orleans and enhances those standards with an array of learning experiences and electives. Interactive whiteboards are used in all core classes. Students participate in a variety of activities ranging from whole group lessons and discussions to small group and independent learning exercises to hands-on activities. Technology is integrated as a tool for introducing lessons, reinforcing skills, and exploratory learning activities. Higher Education in St. John the Baptist Parish

The South Central Louisiana Technical College-Reserve Campus (SCLTC-Reserve) is a technical college which serves the River Parish region. Workforce training is changing rapidly, paced by technological changes.  The regional business community depends SCLTC-Reserve, to provide human resources equipped with the skills and knowledge required by employees in the areas of communications, computer, and applied academic skills.
